Finished!!!! The long awaited snake tailed pony ^^

The slowest custom on my herd! I swear! I hurted my fingers so many times with him but it was worth it, I'm in love with this man! and it's not precisely my boyfriend!

His name is "Coatl" wich in a local language means "snake" hehehe how creative! Anyway... I wanted so much to make a different pony, there are dragons, faeries, merponies, demons, unipegs, even ponies cosplaying as other animals... Coatl was going to be a cute and romantic merpony but I changed my mind on the sculpting moment and I switched his design to a Naga. A half human-half snake creature, in this case half pony ^^

Now with the naga concept, I started the sculpting. It was a long process since a realistic looking sculpture needs detailed observation of the subject, this is my first time looking at snakes and I accept that I didn't got the realistic look, but I like what I came up with ^^ the horns are just for fun ^^ I love ram-like horns and I gave a pair to this guy

The sculpting and painting process was as usual. Sculpting with apoxie sculpt that dries in 15 minutes ¬¬ and acrylics for the painting... this was also my slowest painting process since each scale received a special care mostly bcause of the patterns. The belly is simple but also each one was placed individually to give a better effect.

The hair is my substitute for my anxiety to get Blizzard from Dollyhair... I found some leftovers of braided cream hair and a complete package of bright white. The unbraided cream hair was used to make a very excentric forelock like a long afro and the white shiny hair was to add a little elegance and order to his mane.

The eyes are my pride... I'm trying a new way of making eyes since my style wasn't going anywhere... They're less detailed but I like the effect ^^ That's what matters for me ^^

Sorry sorry for the kilometric explanation ^^ I'm just drooling over him bcause I love how he looks... He's my first and last boy custom since this was the only g1 boy bait I had... So I tried to make something unique and special with him ^^
