She's one of the most beautiful customs I've ever made... (hehe sorry for being so humble >.<;).. :iconkaradarkthorn: gave me the chance to work in this interesting pony, it's her persona "Nighstar" and as you can see, she's not like other ponies, she has 2 pair of wings and a little star on top of her horn. She was so fun to make!!!

The wings were securely attached with heavy wire mesh, as well as the horn that was sculpted on top of an attached wire in the head. Everything was made with apoxie sculpt.

But this is not the most interesting part on her for me, for me, the magic comes from her color, I tried a lighter blue since I hadn't other shade of blue on my painting materials, and it wasn't close to her colors. I went and bought a darker blue and started to give a different technique wich came out amazingly!!! >.< She has the dept I wanted to achieve, I'm so happy with it!!!

The stars were made in 3 different colors, ocre, light yellow and white. I wasn't able to get glow-in-the-dark paint for it :( It's not available in stores here...

The eyes are my other achievement, I just love them >.<

The hair is completely black :) hehehe

I downloaded because I can't get the normal pic to load, she's so stunning!
I can really see what you mean about the depth of colour, it's the most beautiful full-body repaint I've ever seen :)
Also, those double wings work so well. I was a bit skeptical when I read the description, but they just look AMAZING!
Job well done ^^

yup, it seems that at the begining there were problems with the full-size version, it works for me now :)

Thank you! I'm so glad that you like the style of painting I used with her, the double wings were so scary but they came out so well that I just can't hardly believe it :D

Wow...she is gorgeous. I really love all the little details in her wingsas well as the stars (they stand out so well from the blues), but what really tops this off for me is the little star at the end of her horn (I haven't seen anything like this before on a custom). :wow:

Out of curiousity, can her her turn by any chance? ^^;

Thank you :D I really like the yellows I got for the stars, they do stand out with the blue, my favorite part is the star in the eye, for me the colors help her to show off her eye :D

hahaha noup, usually my customs are glued. First of all bcause I always end up cutting the ring, even if I don't mean to :( I'm so stupid in that matter *cries* but also, with the way I paint them I apply shades that match with only one position. If you turn the head you'll be looking at a weird shade on the neck that tries to get along with a light effect in the shoulder >.< That's the only bad thing >.< Oh! and well, when I place the wire mesh, I put some apoxie sculpt on the inside of the pony for more security, usally, the position of the wings make that the epoxie gets placed in a spot near to the neck, so If I introduce the neck ring, first, it won't be right :o ... second, it will be messing with the apoxie sculpt... That's why I have to glue the heads on :)

Ohhh the star on the horn, that's totally kara's idea >.< I believe it's one cute detail :D
