URGENT- Anybody from SYDNEY? (near Leichhardt)

Tue Jul 7, 2009, 7:58 PM
Hi
this is a quick post, I need really URGENT help from anybody who lives in Sydney, specificaly near Leichhardt or who can move easily to that place.

I need a huge favor regarding a piece of artwork I have to pick up in a place called Metro Storage. I only have until this FRIDAY to let the people from there to know that somebody will be picking up the package for me. Since the last day for pick ups is July 13th.

I also need that the same person can drop the package on the post office as I can't afford to pay a courier service to pick it up and send it back to Mexico. I need the package to be shipped Airmail or something cheap T_T

I can pay you with paypal as soon as I get a quote, since I don't know how big the package is now that they wrapped it again T_T

If you or anybody you know can help me with this, I will really appreciate it!

Thank you!

Thanks a lot for the info
You know? I might end up paying for the aussie post courier pick up, I just need to beg dad to let me use his credit card for this o.O bcause he definetely won't want to help me with this...

And mom, well, mommy is good, but she was almost crazy when I used her debit card to open my etsy account... yeah, sad but true. Or I could go tomorrow to open a debit card account in that bank... I will study the possibilities. Anyway, I will need it for amazon purchases ¬¬

Ahhh fuck with all this T.T

Thanks a lot for your help!!!

Oo
Wait, how much does it cost to open an Etsy account? I've been thinking about opening one and using that on top of my eBay account for stickers, prints, keychains and such.

A debit card is very much worth it. If it can be used as a credit card as well, then it's VERY much worth it. If the bank you go to offers free checking accounts, then go with that, but if what you have already is a checking account, then see if you can get a debit card that can be attached to the checking account.

Hell, another option is to see if, by chance, you can apply for Paypal's debit card. It's attached to your Paypal account, and it will have VISA marked on it, so you should be able to use it like a credit card as well ( I applied for one, as a back-up measure. I want to see if it can help me clear up my credit. ).

An etsy account is free to join.
Each listing, no matter what the price is, cost you 20 cents.
You get the listing up for 4 months! :o That's great bcause your items are there for longer time than ebay.
And, when you sell an item, etsy fees are a little bit more than 3% of the price you sell your item.

Very attractive if you dont want to put your item for auction ^^

Well, dad was really nice when I told him that I was thinking to go tomorrow to open another debitcard bcause mine (scotiabank) is not accepted online (damn useless mastercard icon), he offered me that instead of doing that, he will lend me one of his cards to make the payment for the courier shipping. AND on top of that, he might have seen that even if I'm kinda broke, bcause he's going to request a credit card for me o.O Of course that I won't use it on a daily basis... he says that it's easier and I won't have to worry to have a minimum on my account, it's all up to him to keep it in order.

Here having a checking account it's not that useful, I had one and well, the checks weren't used. Why do you think it's good to have a checking account? o_O maybe you know something I dont! hehehe

I believe that requesting a paypal's debit card will be really slow right now, and well, but I'll get more info to see if it's convenient for me ^^ Thanks for the advice!

I live by my checking account. I really only use checks to pay my rent to my folks and for bills, but for everything else, I use my debit card, which is attached to my checking and savings accounts. But since it's backed by VISA ( has VISA stamped on it, I can use as a credit card, even though it still comes out of my checking account. It just takes a few more days to clear and is considered a "hold". ).

Also, since my savings account is one of Wachovia's "Way2Save" accounts, every time I use my debit card as a DEBIT card, $1 gets sent from my checking account to my savings account, and I have it set so that every first of the month, $50 gets sent from checking to savings automatically. And I'm signed up for Wachovia's Rewards program, so every time I use my debit card as a CREDIT card, I get rewards points towards things. I'm saving up points for future vacation plans.

So technically I'm putting at least $150 into personal savings every month. It's SERIOUSLY saved my butt financially. Slowly, but I'm getting there step by step by step.

I still can't, however, get a credit card, like a regular credit card. My credit still SUCKS and it's taking a VERY long time to heal it.

OMG what a puzzle! hehehe I only have a savings account and damn, I go crazy with it! Dad asked in the bank and we only have to go to register my name and show my ID card.

OMG you have great promotions!!! Here first you need to get a credit card that has those kind of rewards, but it also charges too many interests! And the ones offering reward points are not that good, bcause you need to spend a lot to gain a lot, and economy here won't allow it T.T

Well, I've always thought that credit is the reason that many families are in trouble here. Dad for example. Mom had a credit card but she never used it. She likes to keep things simple, just like me. But well, most things I need have to be paid with a credit card/valid debit card. But with me having to use most of the $$ for investments in material, I can't keep the minimum in the accounts. And they charge like $7 usd monthly if your numbers are below certain limit.

T.T

Ahh anyways, let's see how this works. I really need that card to get the lenses for the camera I want to get ^^

Big huggies!
